I am currently working on receiving my masters degree in Creative Advertising at Boston University where I am the VP of Creative Art in our own BU AdLab (www.bu.edu/adlab). Through the years I have built a strong creative background. I studied Media Arts and Design at James Madison University where I received my BS. I also minored in communications and took many courses in marketing. I studied abroad at the University of Antwerp, Belgium where I learned European and global marketing. This summer I have been interning at Likeable Media Boston (www.likeable.com) as a creative designer. I am proficient in the Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office. I have taken many courses in advertising, communications, and marketing. Much of my life and personality is driven by my rich Latvian culture. Though I was born in the United States, Latvian is my first language.

My interest in advertising was sparked when I saw the connection the industry had to creative writing, a long-time passion of mine. As I learned more about the industry, I also became interested in art direction. Now, I am looking for a full-time career in art direction or graphic design.

I live, work, and play here in the Boston area. I've been fortunate enough to work in an industry that I'm extremely passionate about. My talents have allowed me to become successful in art direction, design, and particularly on interactive and digital work. I try to address each design challenge with a practical but contemporary solution. When I'm not counting pixels, I love to get out. I enjoy running, lacrosse, surfing, camping, and spending time with my ever expanding family.

I'm an advertising kid and aspiring art director, about to enter my final year at Boston University. I like all kinds of things and often find myself significantly cooler than other people do.

I love sports, design, and problem solving. It was only natural that I went into advertising. When i'm not editing copy down to 25 words or finding that one thing that makes someone feel that they need something, I can be found playing with my dog in the park, peddling the streets of Boston, or framing at The Framers’ Workshop.
